        Hello everyone.

        I was asked in the past if I would let people know whenever I was going to be on stage.

        Next Saturday, April 27 I will be hosting a concert in Boston for a non-profit organization called "Friends of
        Falun Gong". Web site for more info is http://www.fofg.org/fofg/ Ticket info is below my entry.

        The purpose of the concert is to raise public awareness of the brutal persecution of innocent practitioners of
        Falun Gong over the past 2½ years by the government of China.

        Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) is an ancient Chinese cultivation practice that teaches people to cultivate
        their inner selves to become better people and to assimilate to the universal principles of Truthfulness,
        Compassion and Forbearance (tolerance, patience). There are also 5 sets of gentle physical exercises that have
        powerful positive effects in many ways.

        I have been practicing Falun Dafa for the past 14 months and have benefited mentally, physically and
        psychologically. The teachings are deep and profound and take time to understand on different levels as the inner
        meanings are more than what they seem after a first read.

        If anyone is interested, you can download all of the teachings for free. I would recommend reading the main text
        to start with. The main text is called "Zhuan Falun" and can be downloaded at

        The Chinese government has spread much propaganda and many lies about Falun Dafa in an attempt to try and
        justify the barbaric persecution of its own citizens to the international community. The world's governments are
        now clear on the truth and have seen through the lies. However, the misinformation by the Chinese government
        about this beautiful practice comes in many disguises and in many forms on the internet and through various
        Chinese media outlets and many innocent Chinese people have been terribly deceived. To find out about the

The night of April 27th 2002 I believe will be the most rememberable night I have ever have. To see on stage and meet Mickey Mahonen..otherwise known as Gus Pike of "Road to Avonlea". My husband and I arrived at "Berklee Performance Center", "Friends of Falun Gong" presents "Wonderful Future" 10 minutes before
eight pm. Boston wasn't as easy as I thought it was because of so much traffic and so we had to park five blocks away from the center and take a taxi.

       Tim had bought the tickets on priceline.com ..Tim got me a seat (right in front of Kitty though I didn't know it was kitty) about three rows in front of the stage. When Mickey went on that stage introduceing each act he explained where the people are performing are from. Tim and I had no idea how the concert was going to present itself. I was thinking about a great band with singers but it was even more interesting. All I kept thinking is how handsome he looked in the tux more then the performances.

      After the performaces all of a sudden nature called me and Tim waiting in the waiting room while I stood in line. Tim was nice enough to go up to Mickey and said that I would be right out. (Tim is used to talking to celeberties because his Dad and he used to own a baseball card store and met several baseball players so he knew how much Mickey meant to me)

        Well the next thing I did was go right up to him and say "Hi Mickey, Im Jean..im the girl that has the CamNCon webpage. He let me know also that Nancy and I did a good job on the sight. I was very shy but got the courage to tell him some things. Didn't know what questions to ask him..if I meet him again..maybe I will but for now in the moment of meeting kttty and in the rush of meeting her I didn't even hear her inroduce herself but she did.  I figured outin a short while when Mickey asked her about how did she make it to Boston..I figured it out.  At times when I got over my shyness I told him that Nancy helped me allot with CamNCon and he told me Nancy sent him the flower for his tux. Also he metioned which I found interesting is when your a acter you have to buy your own tux. One of the memorable things he said is I guess it a reminder is "He is just a normal person who is a proffessional acter. In the past Mickey has questioned why does the Unofficail fan club over the internet (meaing the Micheal Mahonen Lounge) make such a fuss over him..I answered because he is the coolest and that was his reply.

      Like my husband said in my guestbook one time..he is really the type of person you want to get to know. He was so down to earth. I mailed out a clock to him a few years ago (I painted a wooden clock and wrote "Mickey" on it) and he said again thank you..I said you still have it?...He goes..yea..its my clock. That means he reconizes a persons hard work and comments so possativeally that he gives a person feel good about themselves and somtimes go further to achieve more.
